The Centre de Ressources et des Compétences pour le Développement Communautaire
(CERCODE. C) is a non-profit, non-governmental organization incorporated under Congolese law
. The organization works in particular to bring vulnerable groups of
the population to fight effectively against epidemics (HIV, Tuberculosis, Malaria...)
and other major health problems on a community scale. in distress, to
victims of natural or man-made disasters, or situations of belligerence.

A. GENERAL CONDITIONS
Position: Psychologist
Workplace: Brazzaville with occasional interventions in Pointe Noire, Dolisie and
Ouesso
Type of Contract: Twelve (12) month fixed-term contract, renewable
Hours: 45 h. per week, flexible according to service requirements
B. POSITION IN THE ORGANIZATION
Position reporting to the Executive Director of Programs
C. DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
PURPOSE OF POSITION
To provide psychological support to the beneficiaries of the organization's actions,
in accordance with its principles, standards and procedures, in order to improve their health
mental.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assess mental health needs, establish a diagnosis and follow-up plan for
, inform those indicated of the possible consequences of the illness and the
drug treatment to be followed, and refer patients/beneficiaries to other
professionals when necessary, in order to provide the
treatment most likely to improve their state of health; - Implement the protocol for caring for victims of sexual violence
(VVS), identify victims of VVS and refer them to the medical team for treatment
; - Provide psychological support and psychotherapy (individual,
couple, group), in accordance with CERCODE.C protocols, to improve
patients' mental health; - Assist and train staff members and, if necessary, other actors in order to broaden
the scope of mental health activities. Work closely with
community agents to determine the vocabulary and attitude to adopt during
educational talks and HIV/STI screening sessions;Collect statistics and monitor data relating to
mental health activities; - Inform his or her superior and the internal or partner medical team of any questions or
problems that may arise in connection with treatment, so as to offer the
best solution from a medical point of view; - Guarantee the confidentiality of all patient/beneficiary information
D. QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED
- Education : BAC+5 in Psychology
- Languages: French (written and spoken), essential. Good command of national languages
(Lingala, Kituba) is desirable. - Experience: At least two years' professional experience in a similar position.
Experience in an associative/community environment is an asset. - Computer skills (office automation pack) essential (Word, Excel, Power
Point, Internet). - Qualities: Results-oriented mindset and sense of quality; Teamwork and
Cooperation; Flexible attitude; Adherence to CERCODE.C values;
Stress management.
