Start of field activities.

Brazzaville, Republic of Congo - July 2025

Two major training sessions were organized at CERCODE.C's national headquarters, as part of the SOFIA program supported by Expertise France.
The workshops were held in two waves: from July 16 to 18, 2025, then from July 24 to 26, 2025.

 25 Community Agents trained

The aim of these training courses was to enhance the skills of those working in the field in three key areas:

  • HIV testing counseling
  • Psychosocial support
  • Provision of differentiated services for HIV, tuberculosis and malaria

Thanks to this support, participants are now better equipped to respond effectively to the needs of their communities.

 Multi-sector mobilization

The success of this program relies on the commitment of national and international partners:

  • National AIDS and STI Control Program (PNLS)
  • National Tuberculosis Control Program (PNLT)
  • National Malaria Control Program (PNLP)
  • International Center for AIDS Prevention (ICAP)

A shared commitment to public health

By combining local and international expertise, this initiative reinforces the role of community players as essential pillars of the local health response.
These coordinated actions contribute to a more targeted, humane and effective response to persistent public health challenges.
